If you don't know what a post turtle is, look at the picture above.

The description of a post turtle:

"You know he didn't get up there by himself, he doesn't belong up there, he doesn't know what to do while he's up there, he's elevated beyond his ability to function, and you just wonder what kind of dumb ass put him up there to begin with."[3]

That's Larry Hogan, former Governor of Maryland and current candidate for the Senate.

Recently at a local fundraiser, Hogan stated his reason for running:

Although he never intended to run for Senate as many asked him to in 2022, Hogan stated that he was approached in 2023 by many in Republican leadership and asked to run. Hogan was worried about his effectiveness as freshman Senator until supporters told Hogan he would be, "The most important guy in the Senate." They compared him to Senator Joe Manchin, a Democrat who has swayed many votes and Democrat policy as a swing vote in the Senate.

This is just one of the self-serving comments Hogan has made in his political career. Once revered as a Republican who won the Maryland Gubernatorial race despite Democrats vastly outnumbering Republicans in the state, Hogan's narcissism took over during his second term as he turned against the people of Maryland, destroyed small businesses in the state, and became a Covid mask and vaccine tyrant, shutting down schools, retirement homes, churches, small stores, etc . while leaving big box stores open, as long as customers wore a mask. As Larry said on a commercial, "Wear the damn mask."

And he also purchased faulty Covid test kits from his wife's home country of South Korea, even though there were Maryland businesses who could and did produce them.

To top it all off, Larry, worked against the next Republican gubernatorial candidate Dan Cox by calling him and his supporters, "fringe whackos." Hogan did nothing to help down ballot races in Maryland, thus assuring Democrats created one party rule in the state. Finally, he turned against President Donald Trump in Trumps re-election campaign, claiming, " I am doing everything I can to stop Donald Trump."

There were many television appearances during the 2020 Presidential campaign where Hogan, who suddenly thought he had favored talking head status on news shows, openly criticized Trump for just about everything. At one point Hogan even said he would run for President. That ended after he polled at zero on most national polls.

And now, feeling like his opinion matters, Hogan has said he would not endorse or vote for either Trump or Harris, but he had kind words for Harris's Socialist running mate, Tim Walz:

"I want to extend my congratulations to Governor Walz on being selected as the Democratic vice presidential nominee," Hogan posted on X. "We had the chance to work together as fellow governors, and while we come from different parties, I have always appreciated his dedication to public service. I believe we need more governors at the national level because governors have to actually get stuff done. I wish Tim and his family well in the campaign ahead."

He's right. Tim Walz did get things done as Governor of Minnesota. He allowed rioters to burn large portions of Minneapolis by not sending in the National Guard. He bowed at the feet of BLM rioters (Tim Walz’s complicated record on crime comes back to haunt him (msn.com); When the Twin Cities Burned, Tim Walz Dithered | National Review.)* He promoted gender transition surgery and hormone therapy for minors without the approval and/or knowledge of their parents. He signed into law extreme after birth abortion laws. He also demanded that the term "pedophile" be changed to "minor attracted persons" in state documents. Walz also promoted free feminine hygiene products in boy's bathrooms in schools, thus earning the nickname "Tampon Tim."

And then there's this: "One person's socialism is another person's neighborliness," Walz said just this days ago during a "White Dudes for Harris" livestream. I guess he forgot that being a good neighbor is voluntary; socialism is compelled by government.

Of course, Larry doesn't like JD Vance:

Hogan did not offer the same amount of praise when former President Donald Trump selected Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH) as his running mate, remarking that there was "no question" Vance and Trump have a problem with women.

Somehow Larry knows this even though he admits, "“I don't know J.D. Vance. I've never met him." (He sounds like Kamala Harris, border Czar, defending never going to the border by said "And we've never been to Europe.") The statement rings hollow Larry. All of it.

In his closing comment, Hogan previously told the Washington Examiner that he does not plan to vote for either Harris or Trump. “I don’t plan to vote for either of the two major party candidates, and that hasn’t changed at all,” Hogan said. “Harris’s policies are disastrous, far-left policies.”

This is not the first time that Hogan hasn't voted for either Presidential candidate. In 2020, he claimed that he wrote in "Ronald Reagan."

Yes, Larry Hogan has distinguished himself as a post turtle.

You know he didn't get up there by himself, he doesn't belong up there, he doesn't know what to do while he's up there, he's elevated beyond his ability to function, and you just wonder what kind of dumb ass put him up there to begin with."

Ladies and gentlemen, I introduce to you, Larry Hogan the ultimate Post Turtle.

    Worthless.

Fantastic expose of an absolutely pathetic excuse for a “public servant.” For the first time in my (long) adult life, I will not vote for a US state senator to “represent” me. The post turtle… analogy perfection.
