From amplifying national talking points to spotlighting peripheral controversies, their messaging increasingly feels less like civic engagement and more like strategic distraction.

Upon first glance, one might think that the ad gives the residents of Talbot County good news. After all, scores have risen since 2022, right? They aren't wrong. They have gone up.
The scores have gone up by 5.3 points from 15.4% (2022) of students proficient in math to 20.7(2026) in four years! In what world is that success?

The most alarming stat of all, the one the Talbot Dems ignored, is that the flip side of the improved scores in 2026 is:
You read that right. 79% of Talbot students are NOT proficient in math. No one wants that for their child, do they?
The other shocking fact is that the increase they brag about took place over four years. That's a very long time for a 5-point change.
It's also a LOT of money.
- Approximate Figures taken from budget documents for the TCPS budgets in 2022 and 2026 produced by the Talbot County Public Schools, Talbot County Finance Office, and State documents.
That's a 30% increase in the budget for a 5% increase in math achievement. What was the money spent on?
Apparently, the Democrat Central Committee of Talbot County thinks it is great that scores in Talbot increased three times more than the State scores did from 2025 to 2026. In that year, State scores rose by .06%. Less than a point.
Talbot's scores went up by 1.8%. Wow. Let's throw a party.
It's truly pathetic. Not only is it pathetic that they would celebrate, it sends a clear message to the Talbot Community. That message?
This is the best they think Talbot students can do. What an insult to the children and teachers in Talbot County Public Schools.

Someone call the Dems of Talbot County and remind them that, while they are making their talking points about a parental rights pledge candidates signed, the Talbot County Public Schools is failing nearly 8 out of 10 students in math.

Dems will encourage you to leave the status quo in place with Emily Jackson, who has been on the board for 8 years (President for four years) and Amy Dodson, who has been on the board for four years. They want you to think if you just trust them with your children a little longer, things will get better.
They will also tell you that Kate Taylor Logan, who has seemingly spent a great deal of this election year in hiding , will help fix the problems. She did appear the other night at the Moms for Liberty Candidates Forum; in the audience*. Since we have heard virtually nothing from her, we are not sure what she offers in terms of making academic achievement better.
Based on social media posts, she would just rather be snarky than actually address the problems:
This is her response. No plan to make things better. No new ideas about how the schools can improve instruction. Not even an analysis of the Math scores. Just an adolescent wisecrack intended to get laughs.
It didn't work.
Our schools failing to educate our children is NOT FUNNY.
In the long run, it's clear the Talbot Dems, who are focusing their attention on distracting the public from substantive issues in favor of fairy tales, will continue to ignore the obvious problem in the Talbot County Public Schools.
Teachers aren't being allowed to teach and students are not learning. Thus, the miserable test scores in Math.
Trust us, English Language Arts isn't much better.
In order to convince the voters that everything in the Talbot County Public Schools is just fine, Dems will continue to offer glossy graphics and memes about every group they hate, every person they despise, every excuse they have, BUT they will never tell the truth about actual student achievement. We have seen a new graphic every single day as they attempt to "flood the zone" with lies and absurdities.
They want voters to believe we should trust the Dem school board slate to do the job and re-elect them.
We can't do that to our children.

*According to sources, invitations were sent to all Board Candidates for this forum. Candidates Emily Jackson and Xavier Rahim never RSVP'd positively or negatively. Since contact information on Taylor Logan was unavailable last Spring, she did not get an invitation. A few weeks ago, a fellow candidate contacted organizers that Taylor Logan wanted to participate. Organizers were told that she sent an email expressing interest. In a conversation Thursday night, Taylor Logan indicated she used an email that is no longer in use by the Moms for Liberty Chair. Therefore, it was not delivered.
The email for Moms for Liberty Talbot, the organizers, is publicly available on all of their materials.
Organizers were unaware that she was in the audience since no one recognized her but stated they would have invited her to participate if she had let them know she was there.
