Last month, WBFF TV news (Baltimore) reported that the US Attorney for the District in Maryland with the Baltimore City State's Attorney Ivan Bates announced hundreds of arrests of violent fugitives in a crackdown over recent weeks in greater Baltimore.
Speaking to WBFF, Bates said that the city-state partnership is helping to drive down crime in Baltimore.
239 violent fugitives were arrested for homicide, attempted murder, robbery, assault, drug-related offenses and weapons violations.
"Some of them have horrific records," said Bates.
Six fugitives were identified as gang associates.
869 grams of narcotics were also seized.
The accused persons will face state or federal changes, or both.
