There are many scholarship and grant opportunities available through the State of Maryland.

If you are a resident of District 37, I encouraged you to apply for the Senatorial Scholarship through Senator Johnny's Mautz's office.
Since a Senatorial Scholarship may only be offered by the State Senator who represents your home address, please visit the Maryland General Assembly website to verify the district you reside in.

Once verifying that you live in District 37, complete the attached application, and return it to my office, along with a copy of your FAFSA Student Aid Report (SAR), a recent transcript (transcripts may be copies without the official seal), and one letter of recommendation.

The application deadline is April 12, 2024.

Please note that the Senatorial Scholarship is intended for students attending college within the state of
Maryland, however, you may be eligible to take scholarship funds to an out-of-state college if you are
approved “Unique Major” status by the Maryland Higher Education Commission (MHEC). Further information and the application for the “Unique Major” can be found on the MHEC website.

All Senatorial Scholarship applicants will be notified with a decision by June 2024. Feel free to contact
[email protected] if you have questions.
