The same could be said for Baltimore City Government. Mayor Brandon Scott, who is already under fire for spending $163,495 on a taxpayer-funded SUV, gross overspending in the creation of the city's non-operational $5.6 million dollar website, and rampant juvenile crime in the city, now faces a scandal involving his wife, Hana Scott, and her non-profit, Bmore Empowered.

The group spent over 79% of its budget on their operating budget, $550,000, on management and consulting. Also, the group has not registered as a non-profit with the State of Maryland, a requirement for any non-profit in the state. Despite this rule, the non-profit received approximately $100,000 in donations.
