• Sexual Assault Arrest In Easton

    Press Release from the Easton Police Department

    On the morning of Saturday, December 21, 2024, officers from the
    Easton Police Department were dispatched to the area of the Easton Bypass near South
    Washington Street, Easton, MD for a female reporting an Assault. Officers arrived on scene and
    made contact with an adult female who was walking down the road. The female alleged that a
    black male picked her up in Cambridge, MD earlier that morning and took her back to his
    residence where he sexually Assaulted her by force at his residence in the Magnolia Meadows
    apartment complex in Easton, MD.
    Detectives were called in to conduct the investigation. Through interviews and other
    investigative techniques, Jason Marlon Rosser (45 years old) was identified as the suspect.
    Detectives developed enough probable cause to apply for a search and seizure warrant of
    Rosser’s residence. Later that day, the Easton Police Department’s Crisis Response Unit (CRU)
    executed the search warrant on Rosser’s residence in Magnolia Meadows apartments. Rosser
    was found inside the apartment and taken into custody without incident.
    Rosser was transferred to the custody of Detectives with the Easton Police Department.
    Rosser was charged with the following:
    -1 st Degree Rape
    -2 nd Degree Rape
    -3 rd Degree Sex Offense
    -4 th Degree Sex Offense
    -1 st Degree Assault
    -2 nd Degree Assault
    -False Imprisonment
    Rosser is being held without bond at the Talbot County Detention Center pending a bail
    review with the Judge of the Talbot County District Court. The Easton Police Department was
    assisted by the Easton Police Department/ Talbot County Sheriff’s Office Crisis Response Unit
    (CRU).
