Election systems 'go down' on election night.
Where have we seen this before?
Yesterday, VR Systems, the company that manages a host of Florida's election systems, and public access to voter information, 'had difficulty'.
Some Florida counties had difficulty Tuesday reporting primary election results to the public because of an unspecified glitch involving a vendor, state officials said, reported AP.
Secretary of State Cord Byrd said at a news conference that counties using the vendor VR Systems reported the issue, which included websites timing out.
“This was an issue with their public-facing websites. It had nothing to do with the data or the votes being transmitted to the Department of State,” Byrd said.
Perhaps this relates to the issues in Pinellas County, where 219,000 vote by mail ballots were requested on Sunday, June 23rd, a day where the office was closed. Many people are swearing they never requested these ballots. This is a felony.
An emergency injunction was filed in Pinellas over this issue yesterday.
