As reported in The Easton Gazette, on May 25, 2024 the Talbot County Republican Central Committee hosted an old-fashioned cookout at the GOP headquarters at 320 Glebe Road in Easton. All veterans, police, military and EMS personnel were served for free.

There was great food, great company and great conversations. People are obviously longing for community and places where they may speak about their political beliefs without censure. In the words of Central Committee Chairman Richard Osborne:

Thank you, Veterans, Police, and Emergency Services Staff! On May 25th, the Central Committee sponsored its first annual Veterans Free Cookout over Memorial Day weekend. The event was not only a treat for our guests but also a platform to support our local police departments and emergency services staff. We are proud to share that our event was a success, with over fifty guests being served at our headquarters. Many new visitors came to our headquarters to have lunch, pick up Trump signs, and donate money for Trump campaign material, thereby contributing to the local economy and community.

Thank you, Central Committee, for doing such a fantastic job, and especially Uncle Ray for being the Head Chef. Also, we would like to thank Momma Maria's in Trappe for donating the hamburgers, hotdogs, and Captain's Ketch for our side dishes. Please stop by these two fantastic restaurants, purchase something, and thank them for their assistance.
