Congressman Matt Gaetz says he will file a motion to 'vacate the chair', in an attempt to remove Speaker McCarthy from his speakership.

McCarthy betrayed Republicans this week by allowing Democrats to vote and pass a continuing resolution. He also reportedly cut a 'side deal' with Senator McConnell to continue funding the Ukraine war, against the wishes of the American people.

“I do intend to file a motion to vacate against Speaker McCarthy this week,” Gaetz told CNN on Sunday morning. “I think we need to rip off the band-aid. I think we need to move on with new leadership that can be trustworthy.”

Speaker McCarthy called his bluff saying, "I'll survive," he told CBS Face the Nation. He's more interested in securing TV interviews."
